I am sure that most of you are aware by now but just in case you haven’t heard, Microsoft has officially announced a release date for the new version of the ever popular Windows operating system, Windows 10, on July 29th this year.

If you are one of the many existing Windows users planning to upgrade your PC to Windows 10, please be aware of the following.

Windows10 label

As a manufacturer and supplier of equipment, PC Werth are only too aware that when a new version of any software is released there can be some small issues or bugs and in some cases existing equipment will no longer function with the new software.

Once Windows 10 has been officially released we will be working with our suppliers and software developers to confirm compatibility of existing software modules with Windows 10.

We would like to make everyone aware that before you begin the upgrade process we strongly recommend that you contact us directly to confirm that any equipment modules you have, which were supplied by PC Werth have been checked and confirmed as being Windows 10 compliant. In the event that an upgrade is performed and confirmation has not been obtained please be aware that we may not be able to support or resolve any issues, although, of course, we will try and support you wherever possible.

You must also ensure that the all other assessment, fitting and measurement modules installed on your computers, as well as other Audiological equipment you rely on, will also run on Windows 10 as running non compatible software can create issues with other software and prevent it from functioning as desired.

To avoid any potential issues we would recommend making a check list and contacting each manufacturer to ensure their software offers Windows 10 support before you make the upgrade.

If you are an existing Noah user we would strongly recommend that you either contact HIMSA or visit the HI to check hearing aid fitting software compatibility.
