We never knowingly supply internet-only or mail-order only hearing aid retailers
At Widex, we believe it is essential that you ensure any potential hearing aid supplier provides a personal and face to face service to “fit” or “programme” your hearing aids.
This is because a hearing aid has to be programmed to your personal and individual hearing characteristics to meet your needs and perform correctly. This requires a face to face consultation with your dispenser and cannot be done remotely.
It is our position that a hearing aid sold without the service of a personal consultation and programming session with appropriate personal aftercare services does not form the basis of a complete hearing healthcare program and may not be fit for purpose.
We therefore insist our dispensers provide a personal, face to face service.
We strongly advise all potential hearing aid users to check that any apparent “internet deals”, internet-only or mail-order only dispensers can provide a face to face fitting service and after sales care in person.
