Sound For Schools at BETT and ERA Awards 2014
The BETT conference is a discussion and exhibition of the top learning technology and education resources for primary, secondary, and higher education, and workplace learning & development.
Each year Sound For Schools visits the BETT education conference and awards under the wing of mother company, PC Werth Limited. PC Werth Limited has improved classroom communication for over a decade with practical and effective solutions to common (and commonly ignored) problems.
Sound For Schools showcased its fixed speaker systems: FrontRow Juno, FrontRow Pro Digital, Powerwave Premium PA and system for hearing impaired students: the Comfort Audio Digisystem, at the BETT awards and received much success.
The Comfort Audio Digisystem is the world’s first all-digital classroom communication system for students with difficult hearing and is widely adopted by hearing specialists, teachers of the deaf and SEN teachers all over the UK.
JUNO is just as innovative, but from a totally different perspective. Designed and developed in California by FrontRow, JUNO is a high performance advanced amplification system for classrooms. In addition to neatly integrating all multimedia sound sources in the class – and amplifiying the teachers voice – it also includes a simple to use lesson capture solution. This means that all students can hear all content brilliantly, the teacher puts less strain on their voice and all visual content presented through the interactive whiteboard (plus all speech), is recorded for the students to review or revise from. This system allows students to refresh their memory of lessons at home and enables teachers to flip their classrooms.
The Powerwave Premium PA system and acoustic treatments are complimentary to Sound For School’s renowned expertise in Soundfield systems that have benefited thousands of classrooms in the UK. Suitable for larger halls and spaces, these premium bespoke solutions include wireless mics and full presentation facilities for assemblies and productions.
The next BETT seminar will take place between 21 and 24 January 2015. If you’re an educational professional, don’t forget this date.
