Add the fm advantage to nearly any hearing aid
Because the Solaris binaural receiver has two hearing aids built into its rugged case, it is ideal for managing hearing programs. This is particularly true in very large schools or in regions where students commonly have difficulty purchasing or maintaining their own hearing aids. If there is any doubt about the condition or existence of the childs own hearing aids, the hearing professional or teacher can remove any instruments brought from home and place the Solaris binaural receiver on the child.
Because the school owns and maintains the system, teachers can be confident that students are understanding lessons throughout the school day. Solaris binaural is so durable that it is also valuable as a hearing aid for very young children.
The Solaris system offers a compact, durable, multi-channel way to add the wireless advantage to a hearing instrument. Like our other wireless systems, it allows much improved signal-to-noise ratio (15 to 20dB) in noisy environments or over a distance (in classrooms, restaurants, watching television, etc.).

Who uses solaris?
The difference is in the number of built-in, dial-selectable channels (up to 40, depending on the laws in your country), and the durability of the system. This makes Solaris ideal for people who:
- Have their own hearing aids (which are consistently cared for)
- May want to use the system in a rough environment (e.g., a classroom)
- May be prone to losing or damaging small components (e.g., FM shoes or BTE-FM)
- May need to switch away from interfering channels (e.g., in a large school or metropolitan area) Typically, this means people who are under 11, although many adults find the multiple channels extremely appealing.
Coupling options
Solaris can supplement the performance of cochlear implants and hearing aids, or it can be used alone with headsets or earbuds. For coupling with hearing instruments, a universal direct audio input (DAI) cable is available, as well as a teleloop option.
Access to almost any environment
Just a few of the proven applications for this wireless technology include teacher-to-student instruction in the classroom, tours and business meetings, doctor’s visits, watching television, and talking in the car or around the dinner table.
