PE 400 Series - The high-quality hearing assistance choice
Public facilities often require a hearing assistance system. The PE 400 system is commonly used in multiplex cinemas, conference centers, live theatres, and courtrooms.
The venue usually make receivers available for free when echo, distance, or background noise presents barriers to clear speech understanding.
How it works
The complete system consists of a parent infrared emitter, secondary child emitters as needed, and multiple personal receivers to cover an area of up to 1,100 sq m/12,000 sq ft.
The house sound system plugs into the parent emitter. Using infrared technology, these emitters then broadcast to members of the audience who are wearing personal receivers.
Two receiver options are available to visitors. (Note that patrons who frequently visit cinemas and other venues using PC Werth's PE 400 may wish to purchase their own receiver rather than checking out a house receiver.)
The 401R headset receiver works with t-coil equipped hearing aids, has a full 360° reception, and is an integrated receiver and headset. It features just two easy-to-use controls power and volume. Two AAA alkaline batteries offer 70 hours of operating life.
The 400R body-worn receiver comes with a choice of listening options including a stetoclip and transducer cord, monaural earbuds, binaural earbuds, standard headset, or a teleloop. Users can choose between two different frequencies, 95kHz or 250kHz, and it also features a squelch circuit that eliminates white noise. An indicator lights tells the user when the unit is charging. Two AA rechargeable batteries offer up to 35 hours of use, two AA alkaline batteries typically last up to 80 hours.
