More Kamplex Products at BAA from PC Werth
BAA is the UK’s biggest audiology conference, so PC Werth made the most of it with separate stands dedicated to Kamplex and PC Werth’s traditional products and accessories.
Kamplex majored on the new Kamplex hearing aids and signed up a number of departments looking to evaluate these innovative products – where the KITE instant fit ITE was of particular interest. Kamplex demonstrated that product advancement and development will be a real watchword of this range by showcasing the new tips for KITE. These flexible silicone “sleeves” fit snugly over the KITE unit and extend its fitting range in to the thresholds of severe losses, making it a truly universal solution.
Meanwhile, the r16m tympanometer also raised a lot of interest. This unique system may well be the first portable touchscreen tympanometer in the UK. Light and portable, it tests quickly and is available in screening or diagnostic configurations, with contra and reflex tests. Just as importantly, this system pioneers a range of new piezo-electric pumps. These pumps have no moving parts, which makes the r16m highly reliable: if required, it can be supplied with 5-year warranty.
Space restrictions meant that the new Kamplex range of sound booths could not be on stand so delegates had to do with datasheets for these quick-build booths. Quick to assemble in under 30 minutes by non-specialist staff, this range of booths perform strongly and can be ordered in a wide variety of finishes and colours.
The PC Werth stand was highly varied, as usual, with support from Dreve and Auditbase close at hand to provide manufacturer expertise on the latest impression material from Dreve and Primus Pro fitting system from Auditbase. PC Werth is the UK’s lead calibration and support company for the Primus Pro, which is available in a clinical white colour to differentiate it from earlier models. The Primus Pro introduces some interesting new features such as an optical input and, coming soon, the ability to attach a multi speaker surround sound array. PC Werth also majored on white for the Kamplex Opticlar otoscopes they were offering in their competition on stand – students merely needed to bring the relevant tweet along to the stand to win. Copies of C2Hear, the easy to use instructional video system for hearing aid users and their support, were also given away from the stand, supporting the new online version of this fully validated patient support system.
